we have had for many years first class service from newtown branch ,it is such a shame we have to move our savings accounts because of your poor interest rates compared with other providers

A very small interior and no sense of where to queue. Wait times are long and the service is sedentary. Use the ATM or online banking as much as you can, only visit the branch as a last resort.

An excellent local dental practice which provides a friendly, first class service to its patients, highly recommended.

Though waiting times can be long, I've generally had very few negative experiences with Newtown Medical Practice, unlike some other GP's practices. Once you've gone through the neccessary hops to register and get your main GP (like any medical practice) the doctos and admin staff are usually helpful and friendly. You should note that due to funding cuts they are not able to give you instant medical advice , but they do give you the number of Shropdoc who can be helpful when you just need advice over the phone. Also, it should be noted there is no major hospital in Newtown, so you may have to travel up to Shrewsbury Hospital when you need surgery or a medical specialist. But the GP's in Newtown Medical Practice will do all the neccessary paper work for you, so you only have to deal with traveling up to Shrewsbury from Newtown.

Staff are always accessible though often very busy . Waiting time can exceed appointment time hugely. Very difficult to actually get an appointment too see a doctor these days ,having first to go through a triage nurse and then a care practitioner before given access to a doctor. Confidentiality no longer exists, what happened to the guidelines when sharing information and only those that need to know having your most personal information ,when you are forced to tell so many and even the receptionist your problem/condition/symptoms. Surgery closes at 18. 30 hrs.

Small and seemingly underfunded, this hospital offers a very limited range of services.

Newtown Evangelical Church is a true Gospel preaching, Bible believing Church that faithfully worships the one true God - Father Son and Spirit. If you are looking to find out about the Christian faith, look no further - this is a church that will guide you carefully, and thoroughly to Christ. I have always found the church to be very warm, and welcoming to newcomers. Cannot recommend highly enough, but you must go and see for yourself!

This is a great place to go on a Sunday and to worship God; it is a amazing Church!

I go here a lot as I try to recycle everything. With the recent closures it does mean that the same number of recyclers are coming to Potters in half the amount of time so it’s a lot busier but a little bit of patience and forebearance is all that’s needed.

Just been back to Mirrens and found a whole new menu. They now offer a taster menu from their new chef, Seamus. The presentation is superb matched by the taste experience. Thoroughly recommended. My favourite was pulled pork with blackcurrant leather. The food is complements by a range of hand made plates from Vicky Ware Ceramics.

Very delicious food, my turkey dinner was just as good as my mum's! The staff were lovely and warm. My friends and I had the private room which was very comfortable and enjoyable to be in. I would definitely go again!

Staff are very welcoming, also cater very well for babies and children. Food is beautiful all freshly cooked. Definitely recommend Parkers for lunch, snack or evening meal. They also do bed and breakfast.
